Material Handler
Pay: $16-18.50/hr. (depending on experience)
Shift: Mon-Fri (7am to 3pm)
Description:
- Cannonball Recruiting is seeking a Material Handler to safely and orderly deliver pallets and products throughout the manufacturing facility.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
- Ability to handle materials and equipment in a responsible manner.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed.
- Ability to work in a variety of roles.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Responsibilities:
- Be available for Laser operators, Bend operators, material deliveries and Vendors.
- Pack/wrap orders as required by item/delivery type and prepare for shipment.
- Uses a computer as needed.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons, bundles and /or skids.
- Ability to perform tasks under pressure, and within a deadline driven environment.
- Ability to handle detail-oriented work to ensure proper items and quantities are picked to arrive at customers in good condition.
- Assemble wooden, cardboard, or skidded containers or select preassembled containers.
- Assemble skids or containers.
- Bind containers with metal strapping or tape as needed.
- Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move or hoist materials from inventory to shipping area and load trucks or containers per shipping instructions.
