Mechanic & Equipment Operator (Hermitage)
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic & Equipment Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, operating, and transporting equipment to support daily operations. Compensation:
$25 hourly
Responsibilities:- Diagnose, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles, heavy equipment, and small engines
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Operate equipment such as loaders, skid steers, backhoes, trucks, and other machinery as needed
- Tow and transport equipment safely to and from job sites
- Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate service records
- Identify mechanical issues, repair issues, and ensure all tools and equipment are in working condition
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Keep inventory on job sites, properties, and storage
- Proven experience as a mechanic and/or equipment operator
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and diesel/gas engines
- Ability to operate and tow heavy and light equipment safely and efficiently
- Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred (if applicable)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently
- Professional demeanor and good communication skills
