Job Summary
The Ground Utility Worker will be responsible for the treatment plants system monitoring, inspecting, and repairing as needed. This position will also assist in general farm ground maintenance.

Essential Job Functions
The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Sends water or wastewater through the treatment processes using pumps, valves, and other processing equipment.

· Relocates reels throughout the farm as needed.

· Maintains the treatment plants system by monitoring filters and chemical treatments, inspecting equipment, making necessary repairs, and servicing machines; contacts appropriate maintenance staff when major repairs or service are needed.

· Discards waste materials according to approved procedures and government controls.

· Implements and adheres to standard emergency procedures in the event of an overflow or spill of chemicals or unpurified water; notifies management.

· Maintains the grounds around the lagoon perimeters and other locations when needed.

· Ensure all paperwork is filled out in clean, legible, and accurate format, completed with required information.

· Follow all biosecurity and Animal Welfare Policies

· Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.

· Report any animal welfare related issues to management immediately.

· Report any potential Food Safety issues to management immediately.

· Report any damages to company vehicles, equipment, and buildings via maintenance work order software program.

· Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Required Qualifications
The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Proven experience in operating and maintaining farm equipment required.

· Ability to perform physical tasks, work in varying weather conditions, and respond to emergency situations.

· Alert, focused, and detail oriented.

· Outstanding communication skills.

· Ability to independently make decisions with minimum supervision.

· Ability to multitask and effectively prioritize workload.

· Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others.

· Ability to comply with all company policies and procedures.

Physical Demands
The physical requirements/environmental factors for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

· Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach and service machinery.

· Must be able to visually inspect equipment.

· Must be able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.

· The to safely ascend/descend a ladder while carrying 40 pounds.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and 100 pounds with assistance.

· Ability to work in a wide range of working conditions including office and farms.

· Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, and ammonia.

· Outside conditions include inclement weather, cold, heat and humidity.

· The noise level may be loud at times.
