Position Summary
The Pool Cook is responsible for preparing and executing a high-volume, casual menu in a fast-paced poolside kitchen environment. This role requires strong organization, consistency, and the ability to work efficiently during peak service times while maintaining quality and cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to club recipes and standards
- Execute high-volume service during peak pool hours with speed and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, grill, and prep areas
- Ensure proper food handling, safety, and sanitation practices at all times
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation
- Assist with prep work, stocking, and inventory as needed
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Help with opening and closing duties of the pool kitchen
Qualifications
- 1+ years of kitchen or line cook experience preferred
- Experience with grill, fryer, and basic kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak summer hours
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods in a hot environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat and humidity
Compensation
