Little Bear Pediatric Dentistry is a growing, patient-centered pediatric dental practice in Malvern, PA. We are looking for a skilled, dependable Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) who wants to work in a collaborative, supportive environment where quality care, teamwork, and professional growth truly matter.

What You’ll Do
As an EFDA at Little Bear Pediatric Dentistry, you’ll play a key role in keeping our clinical schedule running smoothly while delivering excellent care to our patients.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform all duties of a dental assistant
- Independently perform expanded functions as permitted under Pennsylvania scope, including:
- Restorations
- Temporary crowns
- Sealants
- Adjusting prosthetics
- Take high-quality digital radiographs (retakes as needed)
- Assist the dentist efficiently to support patient flow and on-time scheduling
- Review treatment plans with parents/patients and support patient education
- Maintain exceptional standards for infection control, instrument care, and operatory setup
- Work with minimal supervision and strong clinical judgment
Team & Practice Support
- Help train or mentor junior dental assistants as needed
- Pitch in with non-clinical tasks when patient flow requires
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the clinical team and front desk
- Adapt confidently as protocols and workflows evolve

Required & Preferred Qualifications
Required
- Valid Pennsylvania EFDA certification (or equivalent allowable credential)
- Radiology certification
- Experience performing expanded functions
- Strong manual dexterity and clinical attention to detail
Preferred
- Prior experience in pediatric dentistry
- Comfort working independently and supporting others
- Interest in professional growth and learning new techniques
Schedule
- Full-time or part-time
