Packing and Press Operator (Weekend Shifts)

A local production company is looking to add Packers to work the Packing lines! Press Operators for production. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity for someone looking to join a family and team-oriented environment. In this production role, you will be completing various duties such as boxing product, checking quality, weighing product, pulling product off the line, packaging and other duties assigned by your supervisor. Training will be provided and this company likes to promote employees who want growth!- Support the production of safe, high quality products and team member safety.
- Must have a completed High School Diploma, HSE or GED.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended amounts of time as well as maintain footing on concrete floors.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 30-50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions
- Complies with GMP, food safety, and safety standards at all times
- Must be reliable, dependable and be able to work in a team environment
- Some positions will require working in an extreme environment of -20 degrees.
- Must know proper lifting and bending techniques.
- Possess good basic math skills.
- Responsible for following all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's).
The Press Operator is responsible for the overall efficient operation of the press, which includes, but is not limited to:
- Monitoring production process to assure quality product per customer specifications.
- Complying with plant policies, safety and E.P.A. regulations.
- Ensuring productivity goals are met for department/machine by monitoring run speeds, set up times and coordination of support departments.
- Achieving or exceeding waste goals per machines/department through inspections, good procedure and accurate reporting.
Cross-training will be done for ALL associates.
