Schedule: Day & Night Shift (both are available)

• 3×12-hour shifts
• Start Date: May 4, 2026
• Every other weekend required

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Job Summary :

seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for an assignment in Greensburg, PA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience and be comfortable managing high-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, newborn stabilization, and postpartum care.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform labor and delivery assessments, including sterile vaginal exams and fetal monitoring
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-section procedures
• Recover post C-section patients and monitor maternal and newborn status
• Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, and draw venous blood
• Administer blood products, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and other labor-related medications
• Recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies including postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and fetal distress
• Educate patients and families regarding newborn care, breastfeeding, discharge instructions, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
• Float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius when needed

Skills:

• Vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Fetal monitoring and interpretation of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• High-risk obstetric patients
• Postpartum hemorrhage and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
• Neonatal resuscitation and newborn stabilization
• IV therapy, blood administration, and infusion pumps
• Must be comfortable working with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania RN License or Compact RN License required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate and Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
