Job Summary

At Stratus Team LLC, our financial systems are the engine that enables us to power forward. We are searching for a qualified Senior Accountant to join our fast-growing and dynamic team. This role will have both an immediate and lasting impact as we continue to expand our footprint. You will manage company financial records, prepare financial statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and may supervise junior accounting staff. This role also involves assisting with audits, tax preparation, and potentially developing and recommending improvements to accounting systems. Core responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card accounts
• Manage journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Assist in audit requests
• Report analysis and findings to the management team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5-7 years of accounting experience
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Working knowledge of accounting software platforms
• Deltek ERP system is a plus
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
