Location: Philadelphia, PA (in-person at NE, Kensington, and SW clinics),
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (9AM–5PM; possible 1PM-9PM shift 1-2 days/week)

About Courage Medicine
Courage Medicine is an interdisciplinary, integrative healthcare organization dedicated to treating the whole person. We provide compassionate, stigma-free care to marginalized communities in Philadelphia — including individuals navigating substance use, trauma, housing instability, and involvement in the criminal justice system.
Our services include primary care, behavioral health, sexual health (including HIV/STI/HepC testing and treatment), and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD). We strive to offer a dignified, respectful environment for people who are often mistreated elsewhere.
Position Summary
Our behavioral health team are comprised of licensed or license-eligible behavioral health professionals who work as integral members of our care team. This role combines clinical therapy with collaborative, community-based care coordination. You will provide individual therapy (both brief interventions and long-term treatment), conduct biopsychosocial intakes, participate in team case conferences, and help patients access medical and community resources.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy , brief interventions, and group therapy (as available)
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for new patients
- Collaborate daily with medical providers, peer specialists, and support staff to coordinate holistic care
- Maintain timely and thorough clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- Participate in team meetings , case conferences, and supervision
- Engage in clinic operations and collaborative problem-solving to support clinic safety and functioning
- Preferred: contribute to Courage Medicine’s social media presence through content creation and online engagement
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Licensed or license-eligible in Pennsylvania (LPC, LSW, MFT, or comparable)
- Spanish-language competency preferred
- Experience or strong interest in:
- Substance use disorders and harm reduction
- Trauma-informed care
- Sexual health and LGBTQ+ affirming care
- Working with unhoused or justice-involved populations
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Flexibility, self-direction, and a commitment to learning and growth
Supervision & Professional Growth
- Weekly individual supervision with a licensed clinician (psychologist or LCSW)
- Daily group supervision/case conferences for ongoing support and consultation
- Opportunities to develop new initiatives, community outreach, and program leadership
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $65,000 annually (+$5,000 if licensed)
