Cage, Count, and Credit Director
Job Summary: T he Director of Cage, Credit & Count oversees all financial operations related to the casino cage, credit issuance, and count room activities. This role ensures the integrity of cash handling, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while leading a high-performing team across multiple shifts. The director is a strategic partner in risk mitigation, guest service, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Compliance
- Design and implement streamlined workflows across cage, credit, and count operations to reduce redundancy and improve turnaround times
- Leverage automation tools and data analytics to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and Compliance to ensure systems are aligned and scalable
- Authorize complimentary services per approved comp matrix
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, Title 31, and gaming regulations.
- Prepare and review financial, compliance, and audit reports.
- Collaborate with regulators, auditors, and internal departments as needed.
- Cage Operations
- Oversee cash handling, chip redemption, check cashing, and guest transactions.
- Ensure all cage procedures comply with regulatory and company requirements.
- Credit Operations
- Direct credit issuance, marker tracking, and collections
- Evaluate creditworthiness and approve/deny credit requests within authorized limits
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on returned checks and outstanding balances
- Count Room Operations
- Ensure adherence to gaming regulations and audit standards
- Manage year-end chip counts and reconciliation processes
- Implement fraud prevention and detection protocol
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in casino cage, credit, or count operations
- Strong knowledge of gaming regulations, internal controls, and Title 31 compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in casino management systems, cash handling procedures,
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
