As a Medicaid Billing Specialist, you will carry out our Mission of Love by accurately and timely Medicaid / CHC billing, resident invoicing, processing of resident insurance premiums and other outside medical payments.
Our Medicaid Billing Specialist is responsible for the following:
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely Medicaid and Community Health Choices claims via Point Click Care, Clearinghouse, and PA PROMISe.
- Monitor claim status, post payments, resolve denials, and perform timely resubmissions.
- Maintain accurate billing records and audit for compliance.
- Process outside medical invoices, including applying for charity care programs as appropriate, and payment/tracking of resident insurance premium invoicesPost resident income payments, enter changes to income and deduction billing set up as appropriate, and process monthly resident statements
- Stay current on Medicaid regulations and eligibility requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate demographic, census, and financial data.
- Serve as a resource for residents and families regarding insurance coverage and billing related matters.
- Communicate effectively with case management and clinical teams.
What You Have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medicaid billing or healthcare revenue cycle.
- Proficiency in PA PROMISe and other payer systems, strongly preferred, including A strong understanding of clean claim submission requirements.
- Experience with Point Click Care, strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in computer operations. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include spreadsheet development and data analysis functionalities. Efficient management of digital files and databases. Experience with cloud-based collaborative tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint) preferred.
- Possess exceptional?communication skills, demonstrate a high degree of?adaptability, and exhibit meticulous?attention to detail. Have a collaborative mindset with strong?teamwork capabilities, the ability to think critically, a commitment to professional growth as a?curious and continuous learner, and the negotiation and persuasive skills?necessary to influence key stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills by effectively prioritizing tasks, managing competing demands, and consistently meeting deadlines as assigned. Maintains accountability for deliverables, proactively communicates progress, and ensures timely completion of responsibilities in alignment with team and organizational goals.
