Job Description

We are hiring team members for our Oaks/Phoenixville. Team members will be acting as cashiers, managing all customer transactions with efficiency and a smile. Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to customer service, daily chores, and restocking. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service and/or retail position and some knowledge of cash registers and POS systems (we use Square). Open availability is strongly preferred. Priority interviews will be given to applicants with experience that relates to our industry. We have a small team and we enjoy a friendly and cooperative work environment; employees who wish to remain with us long-term will come to work prepared to be friendly and cooperative. Responsibilities

Manage transactions with customers using cash or credit

Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate

Issue receipts, handle refunds/exchanges where warranted

Redeem stamps and coupons

Cross-sell/upsell products and introduce new ones

Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information

Greet customers when they enter the store and bid farewell when they leave

Maintain a clean and tidy work environment

Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies

Bag, box, or wrap packages

Restocking and unpacking new stock

Be a team player

Respond to coaching

Have a functioning phone and reliable transportation

Skills

Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales

Basic PC/smartphone knowledge

Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS

Good math skills

Strong communication and time management skills

Customer satisfaction-oriented

High school diploma/GED or above
