Informatica Cloud Migration Developer
Symmetrio is actively recruiting for an Informatica Cloud Migration Developer for our client, a large government organization located in Philadelphia, PA. This candidate will support the migration of our client's Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1 environment to the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) platform. This is a critical cloud modernization initiative requiring expertise in both legacy PowerCenter environments and modern cloud-based data integration solutions.
Fully remote role offering $120K–$140K, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Back up and document the existing Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1 repository
- Establish test server environment by imaging production servers
- Design and create Informatica mappings on the IDMC cloud platform
- Perform cleanup and optimization activities on the IDMC server
- Incorporate current sequence IDs from Production into Test Repository
- Create and validate metadata structures on the IDMC server
- Verify the integrity and functionality of the migrated repository
- Conduct thorough testing of migrated workflows and mappings
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to the client's Informatica administrators and developers
- Deep knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter architecture and functionality
- Proven experience in Informatica PowerCenter upgrade and migration projects
- Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter software installation across multiple versions
- Ability to specify and evaluate hardware requirements for Informatica environments
- Strong background in developing end-to-end ETL processes in Informatica
- Comprehensive knowledge of data modeling, transformations, mappings, and workflows
- Expertise in applying best practices to ETL development, testing, scheduling, and monitoring
- Proficiency in SQL (standard)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and mentor technical staff
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Direct experience with Informatica PowerCenter version 8.1.1 or other legacy versions
- Informatica Certified Professional certification
- Experience with Informatica performance tuning and optimization
- Familiarity with cloud migration methodologies
