What You’ll Do

The Maintenance Mechanic performs mechanical maintenance, repairs, equipment changeovers, and troubleshooting to support the reliable operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing and facility equipment. This role executes preventive and corrective maintenance activities, supports equipment installations and qualification activities, and works cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Quality to minimize downtime and maintain operational readiness. The Maintenance Mechanic performs all work in accordance with approved procedures, cGMP requirements, safety standards, and Good Documentation Practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, inspect, and mechanically support manufacturing and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Perform product, size, and format changeovers in accordance with approved procedures and production requirements.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities to maintain equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment failures while identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Support equipment installations, modifications, inspections, qualifications, validations, and requalification activities in coordination with Engineering, Production, and Quality.
• Complete equipment logs, work orders, CMMS entries, and other maintenance documentation accurately and in accordance with cGMP, GDP, and ALCOA+ principles.
• Communicate equipment status, maintenance concerns, quality issues, deviations, and safety hazards promptly to Maintenance leadership and applicable cross-functional teams.
• Maintain equipment, tools, mechanical areas, and workspaces in a clean, organized, safe, and inspection-ready condition.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• Minimum of 2–5 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, regulated manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, or completing changeovers on production, packaging, or facility equipment.
• Prior experience working in a cGMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility strongly preferred.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance, industrial equipment, electromechanical technology, or a related field preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to set up, adjust, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment components, hand tools, power tools, and safe maintenance practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow SOPs, technical manuals, equipment drawings, maintenance procedures, and production-related documentation.
• Understanding of cGMP requirements, Good Documentation Practices, data integrity principles, and maintenance practices within a regulated environment.
• Ability to accurately complete equipment logs, work orders, CMMS entries, and other maintenance documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage changing operational priorities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and other departments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform physically demanding mechanical work, wear required personal protective equipment, and obtain and maintain gowning qualification for controlled environments.

Schedule

• Full-time, on-site position in Langhorne, Pennsylvania
• Monday–Friday schedule, with flexibility to support operational or maintenance needs as required
