Job Summary:

As a key member of the Plant Management Team, the Fabrication Manager is responsible for setting departmental objectives and long-term goals. This role ensures compliance with organizational policies and collaborates with other departments to achieve company-wide objectives. The Fabrication Manager leads Supervisors and team members to produce high-quality products safely and cost-effectively, focusing on problem-solving to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement.

Required Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of fabrication related work experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, peers and members of senior leadership.
• Conflict resolution and decision-making is required.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in metal and/or fabrication preferred.
• Experience with Labor Union relationships and management techniques preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Integrated responsibility for the Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, and P+L performance of fabrication operations - crew size of 25-35; numerous work cells with 5/ 24 crewing.
• Manufacturing – Fabrication of Aluminum Extrusions – Cutting / Punching / Bending / CNC machining.
• ISO-9000 / TS 16949 – Automotive Quality standards.
• Manage outsourcing and strategies for customer business outside scope of internal capabilities.
• Participate in quoting new business, including the managing of competitive, cost-effective pricing model.
• Track record of effective people management (Engagement and Retention).
• Capability to deliver Safety results to meet or exceed heavy industrial benchmarks.
