Responsibilities

️ Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, program (as required), and operate multi-axis CNC lathes and CNC mills to manufacture precision parts and components.

• Part Loading & Production: Load and unload raw materials, castings (up to 2,000 lbs), forgings, and fabrications into machines efficiently.

• Blueprint Reading & Traveler Execution: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job traveler instructions to ensure orders are completed within specified cycle hours.

• In-Process Quality Inspection: Perform first-piece and ongoing in-process dimensional inspections against quality checklists using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges).

• Tool Offsets & G-Code Adjustments: Monitor tool wear, adjust tool offsets, and make necessary program or speed/feed tweaks to keep parts within customer-specified tolerances.

• Routine Equipment Maintenance: Execute basic preventative maintenance checks, clean work areas, and ensure smooth machine operation.

The essential functions of this role include:
