A large 500-bed hospital in York, PA, is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract role starting ASAP. This opportunity offers a 13+ week assignment with a variable schedule that includes days and afternoon shifts, accommodating flexibility for your work-life balance.
Responsibilities include:
- Order verification to ensure accuracy and safety
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow
- Consulting with physicians on medication management and patient care
- Applying pharmacokinetics principles to optimize drug therapy
- Utilizing IT systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication order processing and inventory
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
- Approximately 2 years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
