Director of Tax Compliance – Investment Funds
We are seeking an experienced tax professional to oversee compliance for a diverse portfolio of investment funds and related entities. This role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight, ensuring accurate filings and strong internal controls.
Responsibilities:
Lead federal, state, and local tax compliance for investment funds and affiliated corporate entities.
Manage interim and annual income tax provisions under ASC 740.
Ensure compliance with Subchapter M diversification, income, and distribution requirements.
Collaborate with accounting, legal, and operations teams to implement consistent tax policies.
Manage external advisors and leverage technology to improve tax processes.
Respond to investor and regulatory inquiries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or advanced tax degree preferred.
Tax experience with investment funds, RICs, and related entities.
Strong knowledge of Subchapter M and fund tax compliance.
Experience with Forms 1120-RIC, 1120, 1065, and ASC 740 provisions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
