About Our Opportunity

We are seeking experienced, safety minded team members with an attention to detail for a Forklift Operator position in Montoursville, PA on 2nd shift (3P - 11P). This position is responsible for supporting shipping and loading assigned finished goods for shipping by use of a fork truck. This position is responsible for ensuring that the paperwork associated with shipping is completed accurately. The position also supports the manufacturing floor to deliver material components to the appropriate area of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Loading Finished Goods to outbound trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Completing required paperwork and ensuring the accuracy of the information.
• Examining each load for proper identification and quality of cartons.
• Supporting the Manufacturing floor with raw materials, by transporting material to designated areas.
• Unloading material from receiving trucks using a fork truck in a safe and efficient manner, as needed.
• Support in Shipping, primarily. However, must be able and willing to support Receiving, as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in yard jockeying preferred.
• Ability to understand basic written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read.
• Ability to communicate with management and coworkers in order to meet departmental goals.
• High school diploma or general education degree preferred.
• Up to one year of related experience and/or training required.
• Must be capable of obtaining forklift truck certification to be issued by Unique Industries.
• Must have a valid PA Driver's license.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be frequently standing, walking, sitting, and reaching/working overhead.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be occasionally using repetitive hand motions, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
