Full Time Care Provider

About this position:

We are seeking a compassionate individual to join the small, supportive care team of Dr. Scott Stieber, a retired physician living with ALS.

This role is for a full-time live-in caregiver in Lititz Pa. from May 27, 2026 through mid-November 2026.

No experience needed, training, room and board will be provided.

Duties:

• Learn care routines and follow them according to Dr. Scott’s requests
• Overnight Routine: Assistance repositioning in bed. He buzzes once per night- it takes less than 5 minutes to roll him over.
• Filling in occasionally for Morning Routine: Assist in showering and preparing for the day, light household duties, administer meds, breakfast, operating the lift, and physical care routines
• Filling in occasionally for Night Routine: Light household duties, meds, prepare and put him to bed
• Administer Medications
• Household duties: Light cleaning, dishes, laundry, meal prep, dog care
• Personal Care: Cutting hair/nails/ toileting assistance
• Be a team player on a small, caring team. We work together to cover his needs and each other's needs.

Currently we have one full-time live-in caregiver providing yoga therapy/death doula/ legacy needs and a nurse who typically comes for his Morning and Night Routines. His wife Diane participates in care for most meals. We need someone to fill in the gaps.

Qualifications:

• Must be reliable, timely, patient, present, pay attention to details and be compassionate
• Good work ethic and a positive attitude. Must work/live well with others
• Ability to wake up in the middle of the night easily when buzzed
• Skills: Calm, Introspective, Observant, self-driven, have an empathetic presence
• Someone who can commit to ongoing care in the future when needs grow
• Mindfulness Skills- Preference towards yoga/mindfulness practitioners
• Bonus skills: Energy healing, Video editing, Marketing skills
• Pay is negotiable depending on skillset. Room with a private bath included in pay.

No prior caregiving experience necessary. What matters is presence and work ethic.
