The working arrangement can be based in your home country (remote collaboration) or in China, depending on your preference and transition planning.

We are building a long-term technical platform focused on embodied intelligence, advanced robotics, and next-generation intelligent systems. We are looking to connect with experienced scientists, engineers, and research leaders who care about how frontier embodied AI moves from research capability to real-world deployment.

This initiative is part of a nationally supported innovation programme aimed at strengthening capabilities in embodied intelligence, advanced engineering, and large-scale strategic technology infrastructure.

The focus is not only on short-term output, but on building the scientific and engineering foundations required for embodied systems to scale reliably and create lasting impact.

Who this is for

You are likely a strong fit if you:

• Hold a PhD from a leading university
• Graduated in 2022 or earlier
• Have several years of post-PhD research or industry experience

And have worked in areas such as:

Core Embodied Intelligence Research

• Embodied AI and robot learning
• Multimodal perception, reasoning, and action
• Reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or decision-making for physical agents
• Vision-language-action models and embodied foundation models
• Manipulation, locomotion, and autonomous interaction
• World models, planning, and adaptive control for embodied systems

Embodied Systems & Engineering

• Robotic system design and hardware-software integration
• Control systems, motion planning, and real-time optimization
• Sensor fusion, perception stacks, and environment understanding
• Mechatronics, actuation, end-effectors, and system calibration
• Simulation environments, digital twins, and sim-to-real transfer
• Scalable engineering for intelligent robotic platforms

Applied Embodied Technology

• Intelligent robotics for industrial, logistics, service, or strategic environments
• Human-robot interaction and collaborative autonomous systems
• Embodied AI applications in manufacturing, operations, inspection, or field deployment
• Physical AI systems for complex real-world environments
• Translation of frontier embodied intelligence research into deployable technical capability
