Lead reliability at scale in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

At Pretium Packaging, you’ll take the helm of maintenance at our high-speed plastics container facility, guiding a skilled team to keep advanced molding and automation assets performing at their best. Each day, you’ll balance strategy and hands-on leadership to maximize uptime, safety, and quality.

A day in the life

• Begin with a floor walk across injection, blow molding, and extrusion lines—review overnight performance, safety notes, and priority work orders in the CMMS.
• Host a quick huddle with mechanical, electrical, and automation technicians—set schedules, align on preventive and predictive tasks, and assign troubleshooting support for critical cells.
• Dive into complex diagnostics on molding and robotics equipment (including Aoki ISBM systems, air compressors, chillers, and molds), coordinating with Production, Quality, and Engineering to minimize downtime.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to secure parts, manage inventory, and control spend while advancing capital and reliability projects.
• Lead root cause analyses on recurring failures; convert findings into corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and safety.
• Verify adherence to OSHA and EPA expectations and ensure regulatory alignment including FDA, SQF mechanical integrity, and process hazards analysis (PHA).
• End the day by reviewing KPIs, updating the maintenance plan in the CMMS, and coaching team members to grow skills and ownership.

What you’ll own

• Leadership of a multidisciplinary maintenance team (mechanical, electrical, automation).
• Preventive and predictive maintenance programs that raise reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Spare parts oversight, vendor relationships, and stewardship of the maintenance budget.
• Safety, quality, and environmental stewardship across all maintenance activities.
• Continuous improvement initiatives that boost equipment performance and energy efficiency.
• CMMS utilization to manage work orders, history, and KPIs for data-driven decisions.

What you bring

• 7+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, including 2+ years leading teams.
• Strong, hands-on knowledge of injection and blow molding machinery, robotics, pneumatics, PLCs, hydraulics, and electrical systems (Aoki ISBM experience a plus).
• Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning tools.
• Familiarity with lean and CI methods (5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis).
• Proven capability managing maintenance budgets and capital improvements.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or related field) preferred.
• Bilingual capability—fluent Spanish communication strongly preferred.
