Job Title: IT Technician
Location-Type: Onsite 5 days a week in Jenkintown, PA 19046
Start Date: ASAP (Early February at the latest)
Duration: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)
Compensation Range: $15-21/hr on W2 ONLY (Converting to 40k)
Job Description:
Support and maintain day-to-day IT operations for a nonprofit academic environment, focusing on end-user support and system functionality.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Act as primary responder for IT Help Desk requests (email, phone, in-person)

Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and printers
-
Troubleshoot issues with Google Workspace, Office 365, and classroom technology

Provide real-time AV support for classroom equipment
-
Assist with user onboarding, password resets, and MFA setup

Maintain hardware/software inventory and asset tracking
-
Create basic documentation and provide user training when necessary
Requirements:

Must-Haves:
-
Associate degree or equivalent IT experience
-
1–2 years of experience in IT support
-
Experience in nonprofit, higher education, or academic environments (nice to have)

Strong interpersonal communication skills

Eagerness to learn from senior IT team members

Nice-to-Haves:
-
CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Fundamentals certifications

Familiarity with learning management systems like Canvas or Blackboard
