Manufacturing Engineer

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Latrobe, PA
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced mechanical/process expertise to support manufacturing operations, ensuring high-quality production with minimal tooling and product issues.
• Serve as an advanced troubleshooter for machine, tool, process, or inter-related problems during production runs.
• Participate in New Product Introduction and Development teams, offering Design For Manufacturability insights.
• Recommend and execute continuous improvement projects aligned with company objectives.
• Assist in developing work cell layouts using ergonomics and lean tools to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Investigate and analyze customer complaints, providing machine, process, and material expertise to develop preventive actions.
• Work closely with Engineering during new project developments to ensure seamless operation and transition from Engineering to Operations.
• Train operational personnel in setup and operation of new equipment and automation within work cells.
• Maintain documentation ensuring compliance with Technimark’s specifications and procedures.
• Coordinate modifications to tooling and auxiliary equipment to improve molding processes or meet customer specifications.
• Validate processes according to internal and customer requirements.
• Lead special projects as assigned by management.
• Continually improve skills through relevant training courses.
• Perform other manufacturing, engineering, and estimating tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Understanding of injection molding, process control, machine and mold capability, material processing, and auxiliary equipment operations.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine, tool, and process issues during production.
• Experience in New Product Introduction and Design For Manufacturability.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in developing work cell layouts for ergonomic efficiency.
• Ability to investigate customer complaints and implement preventive actions.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with engineering and customer representatives.
• Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
