Galbraith Commercial & Industrial Construction is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Foreman (special projects) to lead small-scale commercial and industrial construction projects with a strong emphasis on plant maintenance, facility improvements, and fast-paced service work. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can manage crews, coordinate subcontractors, communicate with customers, and successfully execute multiple projects ranging from small office remodels to concrete repairs and industrial maintenance work.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-driven, mechanically inclined, and capable of working directly with customers in active industrial and commercial environments while maintaining a high standard of safety, quality, and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and perform day-to-day field operations for special projects and maintenance work

• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget

• Lead crews on projects including: Plant maintenance and shutdown work, small office renovations and tenant improvements, concrete repairs and small concrete installations, carpentry, demolition, and general construction tasks, and facility repairs and miscellaneous service work

• Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications

• Maintain strong communication with customers, project managers, subcontractors, and vendors

• Identify and resolve field issues quickly and professionally

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards

• Track daily production, manpower, and project progress

• Assist with estimating small projects and change orders when needed

• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean and working condition

• Represent the company professionally at all times

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial construction experience

• Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred

• Experience working in active industrial or manufacturing environments is highly preferred

• Knowledge of multiple trades, including carpentry, concrete, demolition, drywall, doors/hardware, and general repairs

• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions
