Who We Are

The Geyer Performing Arts Center is looking for a go-getter who loves the arts and knows how to build relationships. We need someone to help us grow our corporate partnerships and sponsorships so we can keep doing what we love — bringing great performances to our community.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

This is a sales and relationship-building role at its core. You'll be out in the community, connecting with local and regional businesses, and finding creative ways to match their goals with what we have to offer. Day to day, that looks like:

• Building our corporate sponsorship program from the ground up and growing it over time
• Reaching out to new businesses and turning those conversations into real partnerships
• Keeping our existing sponsors happy and coming back year after year
• Selling advertising space in our programs, digital media, and other promotional materials
• Getting out to networking events and making presentations to the business community
• Helping with fundraising events and other revenue-generating initiatives
• Making sure sponsors get everything they were promised
• Keeping clean records of all agreements and reporting results to our Board of Directors

How You'll Get Paid

This is a 100% commission-based role — you earn 25% of every dollar you bring in. That means your income is directly tied to your hustle, and there's no cap on what you can make.

You'll earn commission on things like:

• Corporate and season sponsorships
• Production and event sponsorships
• Program advertising sales
• Educational program sponsorships
• Business partnership agreements
• Naming opportunities (Board-approved)

Commission is paid out after funds are actually received by the organization.

A few things commission doesn't apply to: grants, government funding, donations brought in by others, or existing sponsorships (unless you personally upgrade them in a meaningful way).

You're probably a great fit if you're a natural networker who's comfortable walking into a room and starting conversations, you've got some experience in sales or fundraising, you're passionate about the arts and love talking about why they matter, and you're motivated by results — because your paycheck depends on them.
