As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional surgical care, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure the highest standards of patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care in cardiothoracic and vascular specialties
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-ups
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in surgery
• Participate in surgical procedures, including complex cases
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques and technologies
• Support training and mentorship of junior medical staff

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state
• Experience in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery
• Strong clinical skills and patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Preferred: Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery or Vascular Surgery
• Level II Trauma

Schedule: Night and weekend shifts

Call Requirement: 2-3 weekends per month

Daily Volume: 2 cases

Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

16 ORs

Required Procedures: CAE, aneurysm repair, femoral bypass, fistula, endovascular and open surgical reconstruction for deep vein occlusions, endovascular therapy for PAD, and endovascular therapy for gangrene of the limbs

Additional Conditions Treated: Vascular malformations, Nutcracker Syndrome, lymphedema, venous wounds, carotid stents, and varicose veins

Must be board-certified
