Toddler Room Assistant Teacher

Tiny Tech Learning Lab, located at 5951 Rising Sun Avenue Philadelphia PA is looking for toddler room assistant teachers to join our team. We are a 4 Keystone Star facility, and our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, engaged, and is committed to childcare and to their professional development.

Responsibilities

1. Follow curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices that helps each child reach his/her fullest potential in all areas of development.
2. Supervise and interact with children at all times; mealtimes, rest periods, diapering/restroom times, play times, and activity times.
3. Provide care for young children, including changing diapers, feeding, and comforting.
4. Know all health and emergency policies of the program and implement them if necessary.
5. Help with general housekeeping tasks.
6. Show initiative in the improvement of early childhood education, the program, and the curriculum by sharing ideas and participating in available training.
7. Maintain a professional attitude at all times.
8. Maintain appropriate communication with staff, children, and families at all times. Maintain an open, warm and very professional relationship wit all families.
9. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2+ year experience in a child care facility
• TB test and current (within 12 months) health assessment
• PA Child Abuse, National Child Abuse, Criminal and FBI fingerprint clearances
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
