Qualified Experienced Gas Laborer - DCC-PA
OVERVIEW
Danella Companies, Inc. is currently hiring for experienced Qualified Experienced Gas Laborers located out of our Corporate Headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Travel will be involved within the Philadelphia region.
Danella celebrated its 52nd Anniversary as a utility construction leader and is ranked by Engineering News-Record (ENR) within the Top 20 Utility Contractors in the United States.
Please note this job requires experience within the gas industry.
SUMMARY
Danella's Gas Laborer is a physical role out in the field and involves digging near various underground utilities, repairing conduit systems, and more. Work may be in or near confined spaces such as manholes and trench excavations. Good communication skills are essential as this position reports to the Foreman.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with machines, saws, hand tools, and equipment to perform duties
- Compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Completing a Pre-Job Hazard Analysis each day
- Securing worksites at the end of each day to ensure public safety and safety of Danella equipment
- Lead by example by modeling proper safety behaviors and maintain a drug-free work environment
- Assist in investigations of incidents and claims (as required)
- Foster trust, accountability, and open communication
QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS/EDUCATION
- Specialized training in a relevant Construction field or equivalent work experience
- Understanding of Gas Distribution construction and utility industry practices, processes, and standards
