The Opportunity:

As Principal, Treasury Cash Management you will lead liquidity execution, advance forecasting automation, and strengthen strategic alignment across our global fund platform. You will be a critical partner to Portfolio Management, Investments, and Fund Accounting, ensuring Treasury delivers timely and precise liquidity solutions that support investment strategies and operational needs

Your responsibilities will be to:

Strategic Partnership & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Act as the primary Treasury liaison to Portfolio Management, Investments, and Fund Accounting, translating strategic objectives into actionable liquidity plans.

  • Provide Treasury insights during strategy development, new product launches, and investment pipeline planning.

  • Participate in cross-functional discussions to support fund-level decision‑making and optimize liquidity positioning.

Liquidity Execution & Cash Management Oversight

  • Execute liquidity activities across Hamilton Lane’s global funds, including capital calls, distributions, cash movements, FX, and short‑term investment allocations.

  • Optimize cash balances across multi-currency, multi-structure funds to reduce idle cash and meet investment and operational requirements.

  • Maintain rigorous controls and oversight across the Treasury operating framework.

Forecasting Automation & Process Modernization

  • Lead the development, automation, and enhancement of fund-level and enterprise-wide liquidity forecasting.

  • Partner with Technology and Data teams to implement scalable forecasting tools, predictive analytics, and automated workflows.

  • Drive continuous improvement to improve forecasting accuracy, transparency, execution speed, and integration across business teams.

Treasury Escalations & Issue Resolution

  • Serve as the senior escalation point for day‑to‑day Treasury inquiries, including cash discrepancies, bank issues, wire exceptions, settlement delays, or unexpected liquidity events.

  • Diagnose root causes quickly, coordinate with internal partners and external banks, and drive issues to full resolution.

  • Establish and refine escalation protocols, ensuring consistent communication, timely updates, and clear accountability across teams.

Governance, Risk & Reporting

  • Strengthen governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and operational risk expectations.

  • Oversee liquidity reporting for internal stakeholders including senior leadership and investment committees.

  • Maintain and enhance Treasury policies, procedures, documentation, and business continuity practices.

Your background will include:

  • 10+ years of experience in Treasury, liquidity management, fund operations, or related private markets/asset management fields.

  • Expertise in private fund structures, capital activity, investment lifecycles, and global cash operations.

  • Strong background in cash forecasting, liquidity modeling, and technology‑enabled process optimization.

  • Proven relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

  • High proficiency with Treasury systems and data tools

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to flawlessly execute operational responsibilities.
