• Location: Flagstaff, Arizona (86001)
• Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital
• Assignment Length: 13-week contract (Start: 9/22/2025 – End: 12/22/2025)
• Shifts: 3x12-hour day shifts (06:30 – 19:00), 36 hours/week
• On-Call: Up to 8 weekday shifts and up to 9 weekend call shifts (30-minute recall)
• Weekend Requirement: Typically every 3rd weekend, as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (facility may call off up to 6 times per 13-week assignment)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930–$1980 per week
• Scrubs: Provided
• Parking: Free onsite parking

Operating Room RN Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Registered Nurse experience
• Experience in a Level I trauma center required (Level II trauma experience in similar/larger facility considered)
• Proficient in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neuro (craniotomy) surgical cases
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• First-time travelers welcome
• Ability to provide clinical support to diverse patient populations: adolescents, infants, adults, geriatrics
• Willingness to float to other clinical areas as needed
• Strong charting and documentation skills (Cerner EMR experience preferred)

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume operating room (11 ORs)
• Manage 1:1 patient ratios for surgical procedures
• Assist in a variety of surgical specialties: orthopedic, trauma, spine, neuro, and general surgery
• Respond promptly to trauma and emergency cases as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely response for urgent surgical cases
• Adhere to facility protocols for patient safety and medication administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, and Pharmacy
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records system
• Support orientation and ongoing training modules as required
