Compensation Range: $40/hr – $49/hr
Job Description:
Senior PR professional driving national media placements and managing high-visibility, evolving public affairs narratives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Pitch and secure placements in Tier 1 national media outlets (print, digital, broadcast)
- Build and leverage relationships with national journalists and editors
- Manage ongoing, evolving narratives (crisis-style communications)
- Collaborate with internal PR team members on strategy and execution
- Develop PR strategies to elevate national visibility
- Create and maintain editorial calendars aligned to campaign goals
- Execute day-to-day outreach and media engagement efforts
Requirements:
- Must-Haves:
- Proven success securing placements in Tier 1 national media
- Strong existing relationships with national journalists and outlets
- Experience in hard news, public affairs, or crisis communications
- Ability to both execute and contribute to PR strategy
- Demonstrated success managing evolving, time-sensitive storylines
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience developing editorial calendars and PR frameworks
- Background in government, public sector, or regulated industries
- Ability to lead strategy while remaining hands-on
- Flexibility to support multiple accounts
