Accounting Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our finance team to support daily accounting operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for a wide range of accounting and administrative functions including daily bank reporting, accounts payable/receivable processing, invoice management, vendor communications, and payroll. You will also assist with month-end close activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, accrual cleanup, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Daily processing of deposits, sales invoices, vendor invoices, and bank transactions
• Accounts payable/receivable support including invoice matching, payment preparation, and customer/vendor follow-up
• Payroll-related data entry, deductions tracking, and PTO corrections
• Vendor management, purchase order creation, requisitions, and supply coordination
• Monthly reconciliations (bank, credit card, vendor statements, GL entries, scrap reporting)
• Maintaining accurate documentation, compliance records, and filing systems
• Supporting HR with employee documentation uploads and onboarding records
• Assisting with inventory tracking, purchasing support, and cost monitoring
• Handling incoming calls, visitors, mail, and general office support tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills with vendors, customers, and internal teams
• Experience with accounting systems (Sage, Synchro, Paycor preferred)
• Problem-solving skills for invoice, PO, and reconciliation issues
