Eurythmy Teacher 26/27 School Year

The Waldorf School of Philadelphia is seeking a qualified and experienced Eurythmy teacher to join our faculty.

The Eurythmy teacher provides the eurythmy curriculum for EC-8th grade. The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher, possess positive and inclusive interpersonal skills, and have demonstrated success in teaching eurythmy in a K-8 setting. They will be able to effectively teach children of all abilities, cultivate effective classroom management, and nurture an appreciation for artistic movement. With a Eurythmy degree from an accredited Eurythmy training center and experience in teaching, the ideal candidate will also have an in-depth understanding of Waldorf education. The successful candidate will bring leadership to all aspects of the Eurythmy program at our school, and be a collaborative member of the grade school faculty, supporting plays, festivals, trips, and school performances.

Duties will include:

• Preparing and teaching Eurythmy curriculum to students in EC-8 grade

• Evaluating the progress of students and preparing oral and written student reports to discuss with students, parents, and faculty

• Administrative tasks and non-teaching student supervision, including recess duty

• Attending faculty meetings, professional development sessions and school specific events

Skills required include:

• Eurythmy training from an accredited Eurythmy Training Center

• Experience with and/or knowledge of Waldorf Education

• Successful track record of teaching
