JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at Penn State Altoona, Division of Business, Health, Humanities, & Social Sciences invites applications for a part-time one-semester teaching appointment in the undergraduate program for clinical, simulation laboratory and/or classroom instruction in Nursing, with a Fall 2026 starting date.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Candidates should be qualified to teach undergraduate clinical courses in nursing (MSN required and experience in the area needed for instruction).
- Master's degree required for clinical instruction
- Doctoral degree required for classroom instruction
Preference will be given to applicants who submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and transcripts (official transcripts required before appointment), and contact information for three professional references. Final selection will be based on excellence in scholastic achievement, a review of the candidate's curriculum vitae, and a successful interview. Failure to submit all the required materials may lead to the candidate not being considered.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
