We combine the resources of a larger practice with the supportive feel of a close-knit team—and we're intentional about doing things the right way, for both our patients and our staff.

What You'll Do as a Dental Billing & Insurance Specialist:

• Verify dental and medical insurance benefits, including eligibility, coverage, and limitations.
• Submit treatment pre-determinations and track responses from insurance carriers.
• Apply appropriate CDT, CPT, and ICD codes and submit timely claims.
• Monitor & report claim status to ensure timely processing and resolution.
• Investigate and appeal denied or underpaid claims.
• Follow up on outstanding insurance balances and manage accounts receivable.
• Assist patients and internal team members with insurance questions and coverage information (minimal face-to-face patient interaction).
• Stay current on insurance policies, payer updates, and HIPAA compliance requirements.
• Work full-time: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM-2:00 PM.

Our Ideal Dental Billing & Insurance Specialist:

• Experienced: 1+ years of dental billing and insurance experience, including pre-authorizations, claim submission, and account management. Oral surgery-specific experience is preferred.
• Tech-savvy: Familiar with practice management systems and billing software.
• Detail-oriented: Brings strong organizational skills, accuracy, and follow-through to every part of the billing process.
• Adaptable: Embraces process improvement, responds well to feedback, and adjusts quickly to changing needs.
• Collaborative: Works well in a small team, communicates clearly, and contributes to a positive work atmosphere.
• Professional & Personable: Balances humility, resilience, and a sense of humor while working with various personalities.
• Proactive: Able to prioritize tasks, solve problems independently, and confidently make sound decisions.

 What we offer our Dental Billing & Insurance Specialist:

• $20-23 per hour, depending on experience
• Additional hourly pay is available if insurance coverage is not needed
