Overview: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Maintenance and Facilities, the Automation Technician will monitor our automation system for faults, jams, alarms, etc., and address them accordingly. Additionally, the Automation Technician will perform system repairs and perform routine maintenance as required. Responsibilities

• Address faults and other issues with automation system to reduce down-time
• Monitor performance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE); adjust and calibrate as needed, ensuring equipment meets specifications and requirements
• Perform routine maintenance of MHE
• Perform basic diagnostic tests and preventative maintenance of MHE, in accordance with prescribed schedules
• Implement preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established timeline and processes
• Perform system repairs and replacements as required
• Use power and hand tools associated with repair and maintenance observing standard safety procedures
• Develop work instructions as required
• Update Work Maintenance Management System (WMMS) – to include things like work orders, assets, part usage, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with minimum 2+ years of relevant experience; or
• Associate’s degree in electronics, mechanics, or similar.
• Maintenance knowledge is required.
• Conveyor system knowledge preferred.
• Must have a satisfactory knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in general conveyor system maintenance work.
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize work that is assigned by the supervisor.
• Pallet rider and forklift certification is preferred but not required, will train if necessary.
• Must be open minded and willing to learn as necessary.
• Must be self-motivated with solid problem-solving skills and good interpersonal communications skills.
