Between $3,500 - $5,000 per month based on experience with an annual bonus of up to 15% based on mutually agreed upon membership and income growth.

About Us
Founded in 1991, the BABCPHL promotes the trade and investment relationship between the United Kingdom and Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware. The BABCPHL facilitates social and commercial interaction for the benefit of the individual, the corporation, and the region we cover. Located in Center City Philadelphia, the BABCPHL is currently an affiliate of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia and has a membership of approximately 200 companies and individuals that operate in the region. The organization offers value-add programs and events; shares timely thought leadership and government publications; and provides important transatlantic business development opportunities.
Role
We are seeking an Executive Director to shape our future. Are you a visionary leader passionate about transatlantic business connections? This is an opportunity to lead a well-regarded and established international networking association with exposure to high level executives and government officials. As the Executive Director, you’ll be responsible for a multitude of strategic initiatives to drive growth within a thriving transatlantic business community.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a college degree and have relevant professional experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven leadership ability, strong communication and organizational skills, and a background in membership development and event management. Proficiency in website management is essential, along with the ability to engage with diverse business communities.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with current board members and members at large to ensure their continued involvement with the organization.
Develop and execute strategies to attract new members, including outreach to prospective participants.
Raise funds through active engagement with members, encouraging them to financially support the organization by sponsoring and attending events.
Manage a dynamic schedule of events, typically 6-12 per year including cyclical mainstay programs; educational seminars addressing current transatlantic business matters; corporate and government roundtables and B2B meetings for visiting British dignitaries and officials as well as inbound trade missions.
Increase event attendance through existing membership and prospective members.
Produce fall/spring/winter e-Newsletters.
Manage contact databases and email, telephone, and web-based communications in a professional and timely manner.
Organize and manage all aspects of quarterly board meetings.
Hold Executive Committee meetings when required.
Represent the BABCPHL to the British American Business Network (BABN). The BABN consists of the 22 Chapter Network based in North America and the UK.
Collaborate with regional bi-national chambers and other global groups on synergistic activities.
Represent the BABCPHL and frequently communicate with local, state, and UK government officials.
Work with the various departments within the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia.
Manage BABCPHL technology platforms including Stripe, Membership Works, and MailChimp.
Maintain the BABCPHL website (WordPress), including the creation of event landing pages, graphics, content, membership directory, etc.
Publish engaging content to promote events and welcome new members on the BABCPHL social media pages: LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr.
Create the fiscal year budget and manage finances, consistent with the annual approved budget.
