Pharmacy Technician - Prescription Fulfillment
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9 AM – 5 PM with occasional Weekend work
Job Type: Temp-to-hire (high possibility to convert to permanent role)

Job Summary

Responsible for executing, monitoring, and training inventory best practices and standard operating procedures for the entire facility/pharmacy. Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and facilitating returns. Validates and ensures accuracy of inventory items.Reviews and coordinates the proper use of reports and system applications, which have an impact on the accuracy of pharmacy inventory on-hand balances and pricing. Responsible for executing and maintaining pharmacy asset protection techniques, and filing claims for warehouse and vendor overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods including prescription drugs.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate process adherence within the facility and partner with leadership to create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate inventory activities in collaboration with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), Site Director, and senior leadership.
• Train and educate team members on warehouse and vendor inventory processes, including order creation, review, receiving, and inter-store transfers.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately received and scanned, resolve discrepancies with vendors, and initiate tickets for incorrect or missing shipments.
• Verify and manage pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls, returns (vendor, non-controlled, and damaged), and inter-store transfers while maintaining accurate inventory counts.
• Oversee consumables and On-Shelf Availability (OSA) processes, including inventory counts, disposals, vendor returns, and expiration management.
• Support pharmacy ordering processes, monitor manual orders for excess, and maintain consigned inventory levels.
• Maintain compliance with state and local regulations for inventory, assist with physical inventory preparation and audits, and ensure accurate recordkeeping of all inventory transactions and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to apply for PA Pharmacy Technician registration required, current registration preferred.
• 1-2+ years of Previous Pharmacy Technician experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills and comfort working within pharmacy data systems
