CAD Facilities Drafter
Job Responsibilities:
- Update electric and gas facility maps using MicroStation, IrasB, and G/Tech (GIS) tools.
- Utilize Asset Suite 8 to research affected documents and engineering changes related to pending map updates.
- Review and verify as-built utility information to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
- Maintain and update CAD drawings for Electric Construction Standards.
- Interpret and apply construction standards and specifications to mapping updates.
- Contribute to backlog mapping projects and ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and utility teams to validate map details.
- Ensure all draftings meet compliance, documentation, and quality control requirements.
Skills:
- Proficiency with G/Tech (GIS).
- Advanced skills in MicroStation Connect.
- Strong CAD drafting abilities.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply utility construction standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in mapping.
- Ability to read and interpret utility maps.
- Technical Qualifications
- Experience updating electric and gas facility maps.
- Proficiency with IrasB imaging tools.
- Experience with Asset Suite 8 for document lookup and engineering change verification.
- Understanding of utility drafting practices, especially within electric or gas industries.
Education/Experience:
- High School.
