ABOUT THE PRIORY HOTEL

A former Benedictine monastery, The Priory Hotel is a 42-room, family owned and operated, boutique hotel located in the historic Deutschtown section of Pittsburgh’s North Side – conveniently located walking-distance from downtown Pittsburgh, PNC Park, the Andy Warhol Museum, and Acrisure Stadium.

COMPENSATION & HOURS

Employment Type: Part-Time, Including Weekends

Hours: Minimum 25 – 32 hours Per Week, Required

Benefits: Paid Time Off

Salary: $16 – 17 per hour based on experience

Room Bonus: $1.50 per room!

Room Bonuses, as well as tip envelopes located in each room, are designed to reward housekeeping staff for their dedication to our standards of excellence.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Previous professional experience in the luxury hotel industry is strongly preferred. Candidates should have incumbent knowledge of what is required for a room to be considered guest-ready, and should be able to identify aspects of a guest room that are not meeting luxury housekeeping standards of excellence.

JOB DUTIES

Housekeeper

The Housekeeper will be responsible for general cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel rooms and facilities at The Priory Hotel. We are seeking experienced individuals who take pride in their work, possess exceptional attention to detail skills, and place emphasis on doing the job thoroughly and correctly.

We care deeply about our guests. What some employers may consider above and beyond, we consider the standard.

In addition to the tasks listed below, Housekeepers may also be required to assist guests with their specific needs, and must do so in a warm, polite manner. All maintenance staff for The Priory Hotel should also be up to date with hotel events and functions in order to better answer questions and serve guests, even regarding items not related to housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning guest rooms in accordance with Priory Hospitality Group SOPs
• Tidying hallways, lobbies, and other public hotel spaces to maintain presentability
• On a daily basis, Housekeepers will be tasked with vacuuming, changing sheets and towels, emptying wastebaskets, dusting, scrubbing floors, and any number of other cleaning activities
• Surveying rooms after checkout and reporting damages or missing items to management immediately
• Adhering to all policies laid out within the Priory Hospitality Group Employee Handbook
• Completing all tasks assigned by manager or owners with an emphasis on quality and timeliness.
