This job is based in State College but will require regular visits to our Linden facility.

A Program Manager leads multiple military engineering and manufacturing IPD teams through design, development, qualification and LRIP production phases, acting as primary point of contact for customers for these phases. Program Managers perform project planning, progress measurement, scope control, and status reporting to executive management and customers. Someone in this role will carry out business development activities and coordinate initiatives across assigned market segments.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Initiating activity within QorTek to satisfy customer contract scope/statement of work.

· Drive achievement of major milestones and high customer satisfaction

· Act as primary point of contact for assigned customers

· NRE Cost, Design to Cost, and Schedule performance for assigned projects. (Shared with functional department leadership).

· Customer satisfaction for assigned projects.

· Creation and release of project Work Breakdown Schedule.

· Creation and maintenance of project Integrated Master Schedule.

· Facilitating IPD Team meetings with documentation of minutes and maintenance of RAILs (Rolling Action Item List) in Linden and State College

· Reviewing and creating labor and material plans and cost reports.

· Control of project scope.

· Resolution and coordination of project cost, schedule, and technical performance issues.

· Escalation of issues that cannot be resolved at the project team level.

· Project NRE expenditures to within 10% of BAC.

· On-time delivery of major milestones.

· Provide Program Management support for new business proposals; create PM deliverables to the management volume.

· Manage Bids for new, or follow-on, business proposals

· Identifying opportunities to grow business content with associated project customers.

· Identifying new or synergistic business opportunities in associated market segments.

· Supporting significant proposals with related PMO inputs. Scrubbing proposal Bases of Estimate.

· Be the voice of the customer within QorTek with the highest level of customer satisfaction.

· Identify existing/evolving customer needs to expand current and new product offerings.

· Meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets/quotas to ensure company volume and profitability goals.

· Early detection of risks.

· Demonstration of the highest ethical standards.

• Experience identifying and managing programs risks; Experience formulating risk burn down plans and ensuring incorporation into project/program plans and schedules, Experience with risk tools to manage projects/programs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in the military/defense industry preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, science, or business discipline.
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in military mechanical and/or electrical component and/or systems engineering design, development, and manufacturing.
• Understanding of basic PM principles, such as those promoted by the Project Management Institute.
• Exemplary verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, etc.
• Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
