Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a motivated BAS (Building Automation Systems) Engineering Intern to join our Life Sciences team in Conshohocken, PA. This internship will involve the design, subcontract package development, and on-site assistance for commissioning of BAS systems for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will support senior BAS and I&C (Instrumentation & Controls) engineers in the integration and control of various building systems including HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), lighting, security, fire safety, and energy management systems. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation of technical documentation, system design reviews, and helping ensure compliance with industry standards. The intern will also contribute to the preparation of project deliverables (AF&IDs, IO Indexes, Sequence of Operations, Plans, etc.) and reports and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.

Here's what you'll need

- Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering or a closely related discipline

- 3.0 GPA or higher

Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Previous internship experience in engineering or construction

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit software

- HVAC/mechanical systems knowledge

50,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

65,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $65,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
