CT Technologist Job Details

• Employment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Contract)
• Location: Hospital, Scranton, PA 18510 (Northeastern Pennsylvania healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 23, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour evening shifts (11:00am – 11:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Call: 2-3 times every 2 weeks, typically before or after shift for an average of 4 hours
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2470-$2540

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) – required
• Certified MRI Technologist (ARRT) – preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Strong knowledge of CT and MRI imaging procedures, safety protocols, and clinical best practices

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for CT and MRI procedures, providing clear explanations and answering questions
• Perform MRI and CT scans including neuro, body, and extremity imaging, following radiologist protocols
• Administer IV contrast as directed by radiologists
• Enter patient and imaging data into Radiology Imaging System, IDX Imaging Suite, and PACS
• Review and process images for quality and diagnostic accuracy
• Conduct quality control tests and report equipment issues promptly
• Manage and monitor radiology supply levels, notifying appropriate staff as needed
• Serve as a radiology liaison, supporting physicians and escalating issues to the Team Leader
• Set up procedure trays and handle non-controlled medications as required
