Tague Lumber is looking for a friendly, motivated Counter Sales Representative to be the welcoming first point of contact at our Phoenixville location. In this role, you’ll serve as the “face of the company,” helping ensure every customer interaction is positive, helpful, and solution oriented. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. You’ll play a key role in supporting both walk-in customer and customers over the phone while building strong, lasting relationships within the community.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and assist customers with a friendly, professional approach, helping identify the right products and solutions for their needs
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while supporting new business growth
- Accurately and efficiently process sales orders
- Provide clear and reliable product and order information in person and over the phone
- Maintain a positive, professional, and customer-first attitude in all interactions
- Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth daily operations
- Learn and effectively use our point-of-sale (POS) system
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- A customer-first mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay organized and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in lumber, millwork, or building materials sales is a plus, but not required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass a drug screening, physical, and background check
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Bilingual a plus
