Through the Silvi Materials Leadership Development Program (Finance and Accounting) Employees participating in the twelve-month Leadership Development Program will gain diverse management experience working within various departments and with various teams throughout Silvi Material's Accounting and Finance Department. Silvi has implemented a rotational schedule designed to develop the core skills necessary to be successful in a fast-paced and fluid mining and construction material corporate environment. You will spend four (4) months in each of our major accounting divisions - Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, and General Ledger.

So, what does a Leadership Development Program Trainee do ? As a Trainee you'll be an integral part of our Accounting team working on variety of tasks ranging from everything below:

• Coordinating all accounting operational functions (A/R, A/P, and General Accounting).
• Accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
• Preparing internal and external financial statements and operating reports.
• Providing management with accurate and timely information vital to the decision-making process.
• Assist in the improvement of accounting and internal control systems.
• Special Projects/assignments as directed by the Controller.
• Overseeing regulatory (state and local tax) reporting and compliance.
• Assist in the ERP implementation.
• Assist in Field Inventory.

Qualifications Required as a Silvi Materials Leadership Development Program Trainee: In a typical work setting, people in this job:

• Valid Driver's License
• Bachelor's degree with major in accounting, finance or similar field highly preferred.
• Experience with "cost accounting" highly preferred.
• Experience with an ERP implementation is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is a plus.
• Master's degree or advanced certification is a plus.
• At least 1-2 years relevant experience in accounting required. Additional experience preferred but not required.
• Willing to undergo a credit check.
• Well-experienced, focused on business objectives and highly effective in dealing with a broad range of internal and external customers.
• Possesses solid communication, analytical, and management skills including extensive accounting software and spreadsheet experience.
• Possesses knowledge of all aspects of basic accounting.
• Manufacturing, cost accounting or auditing experience is also highly valued.
• Possesses the flexibility/adaptability to change projects on short notice.
