The Senior Developer Security will play a vital role within our team and will have the primary responsibility of safeguarding our organization's critical assets. This position is an individual contributor role, focused on the development of a cutting-edge automation platform that will enhance our operations by seamlessly integrating both process and control automation, eliminating the need for manual intervention. This innovative development role will enhance efficiency, reduce human error, and streamline our workflows, ultimately saving time and resources.

Leveraging both proprietary and open-source tools and technologies, the Senior Developer Security will tackle a diverse set of intricate challenges aimed at improving the team's efficiency and effectiveness. The Role:

• Serve as a core developer on the central security platform that integrates vulnerability management, threat intelligence, credential scanning, and compliance dashboards into a unified, AI-powered solution

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications using Go and Python for backend services and SAP UI5/React for frontend interfaces, integrating AI capabilities for automated threat detection and security orchestration

• Architect and build scalable, cloud-native software solutions and RESTful APIs that leverage AI/ML for real-time security monitoring, incident response automation, and threat intelligence enrichment across the central platform

• Develop AI-powered features and intelligent agents using Model Context Protocol (MCP) to build context-aware security applications for vulnerability analysis, threat hunting, and automated remediation

• Design and implement modern, user-friendly frontend interfaces and dashboards using SAP UI5 and React that visualize security insights, vulnerability assessments, compliance status, and threat intelligence for security operations teams

• Leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP AI Core to deploy and manage AI models within the enterprise environment, ensuring seamless integration with SAP ecosystems

• Collaborate closely with Security Operations Analysts, Vulnerability Detection Engineers, and Threat Intelligence Analysts to understand operational challenges and translate them into AI-driven software solutions for the platform

• Conduct code reviews, technical workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to advocate for software engineering best practices

• Stay current with emerging AI/ML techniques, cybersecurity threats, and software engineering innovations to continuously improve the platform's capabilities and the organization's security posture

What you bring:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence or related field

• Senior Software Developer with 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years specifically applying AI to cybersecurity domains

• Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with a track record of working with agile development/release frameworks

• Expert-level proficiency in Go and Python and comprehensive knowledge of at least one additional software development language such as Rust, or Java

• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and modern frontend frameworks, particularly SAP UI5 and React

• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and building context-aware AI applications for security use cases

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation tools, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes)

• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs with knowledge of API security best practices (OAuth, JWT, API gateways, rate limiting)

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, YAML based CI/CD pipelines

• A plus if you have knowledge of SAP BTP and AI Core.

• A plus if you have knowledge of vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and applying AI/ML to security domains (malware detection, intrusion detection, threat intelligence)

• A plus if you have experience managing and maintaining databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, SAP HANA) including performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, and schema design.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted annual combined range for this position is 131000-271600USD . The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
