Job Description GENERAL OVERVIEW Research Fellow is a full-time temporary advanced scholarly appointment (not to exceed five years) to conduct advanced independent and/or directed research programs. The research fellow will conduct translational research projects at the direction of the principal investigator or program director. The role of a research fellow requires detailed knowledge of a technical field, process, or discipline. Work shall include developing, implementing, and executing research plans, data collection and analysis as well as documenting research findings in concise yet complete technical reports. A research fellow must be able to rapidly identify trends in data or shortcomings in experimental design, so that random adjustments may be made without the direct daily supervision of a principal investigator. The Research Fellow in this role will...- Oversee clinical research operations including database management, data collection, and regulatory compliance (IRB preparation, submission, and reporting)
- Coordinate and manage laboratory activities, ensuring smooth execution of ongoing projects, task delegation, and workflow organization
- Contribute to scholarly output by assisting with grant writing, proposal submissions, and manuscript preparation
- Develop and implement experimental paradigms and tasks for active clinical research studies, including participant administration and data acquisition
- Support long-term research strategy through project tracking, resource management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration
- Conduct high fidelity experimentation in line with the objectives of the research program. (40%)
- Collect and analyze data from the literature and from ongoing experimentation to support hypotheses. (25%)
- Participate in writing research publications, presentations, and grant proposals. (20%)
- Aid the investigator in managing research staff and maintaining research facilities on an as-needed basis. (10%)
- Other duties as assigned, including representing the lead investigator at scientific conferences and meetings. (5%)

- BA/BS Degree
