Delaware Valley Residential Care is currently seeking experienced Resident Care Assistants to assist our Program Participants with all aspects of daily living.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and other activities of daily living
- Provide assistance with serving meals and assist residents with eating
- Provide Residents assistance in transferring from chair to bed, chair to toilet, ect.
- Assist Residents to and from structured day programming
- Encourage participation in; activities, outings, and other programs
- Assist the therapists with group activities
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or current Pennsylvania CNA License, required
- 3-5 years experience in Caregiving, preferred
- Must be able to weather the elements, as travel outside from resident apartment on campus to day center is required
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive environment for both team members and participants
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm in tense and high-pressure situations
- Proven track record of timeliness and accountability
