Manager of Benefits
Purpose and role of job:
Responsible for the overall design, implementation, communication and administration of the company's benefits plans. Additionally, the position plans, directs and carries out policies relating to all phases of benefits plus will assist the HR team as needed.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall design, implementation, communication, and administration of the company's benefits plans.
 - Ensures that benefit programs support the organization's strategic objectives by remaining knowledgeable of the key business fundamentals of PFNonwovens.
 - Partners with Broker to evaluate and recommend new benefit plans or modifications to existing plans.
 - Creates and maintains recordkeeping systems and procedures on insurance coverage, claims, pension/retirement plans, and personnel transactions/activities.
 - Manages annual Open Enrollment and communication materials, SARs (Summary Annual Reports), and Plan Documents.
 - Serves as an employee advocate for team members on all benefit matters while balancing the role of internal business manager.
 - Interacts with the Director of HR to ensure that benefit programs, practices, and policies comply with applicable government laws and regulations.
 - Maintains an up-to-date understanding of benefit concepts, practices, and procedures, including networking with peers, insurance brokers, and consultants.
 - Must have the ability to interact with all levels of management, be flexible, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.
 
- 5 years of experience as a benefits Manager.
 - Must have a minimum of 5 years managing a benefits program.
 - Must have strong business acumen with a proven track record of progressively increased Human Resource roles in manufacturing.
 - Proven track record of keeping sensitive information confidential.
 
Work Environment: Office environment. Occasional time on the production floor to observe the and understand the operations. Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times while on the production floor.
Physical Requirements: Frequently remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods. Communicating with others to exchange information constantly.
